SENIOR SCHOOL • BEYOND THE CLASSROOM • CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES
The Senior School’s after-school CCAs (Co-Curricular Activities) offer a wide range of opportunities that cater to pupils’ diverse interests and talents. These activities provide a balance between academic enrichment and extracurricular engagement.
Popular CCAs include academic clubs like Hands-on-Science, Robotics, Maths Problem-Solving and Movie Making Club which enhance critical thinking and creativity. Sports activities such as Cricket, Football, and Table Tennis allow pupils to stay active and foster teamwork. For the creatively inclined, there are clubs like Rock Band, 3D printing and Art club. Other options, such as Topical Talk and Brighton Magazine, provide opportunities for developing communication skills and fostering collaboration.
A diverse array of after-school clubs operates daily, providing pupils with a well-rounded experience beyond the classroom. These clubs are offered both internally and externally.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award aims to support young people to find their purpose, place and passion in the world. In more than 120 countries, this globally recognised accreditation is available to all pupils aged from 14, inclusive of all backgrounds, locations, cultures and abilities. Through the programme, each young person becomes part of something special while developing their individual interests, universal skills and life ambitions. It is widely recognised as an outstanding opportunity for pupils to develop independence, self-motivation, commitment and team-working skills.
Pupils follow the Bronze, Silver and Gold Award (depending on their age). There are four sections to complete for each Award level, plus a Gold Project that is completed at Gold. This includes Voluntary Service, Physical Recreation, Skill Development and an Adventurous Journey.

The best way to experience what life is like at Brighton College is to join us at an Open House, where you will have the chance to talk to pupils and teachers about what makes our school such a special place, and to answer any questions you have about life here.
