The Perfect Start

At Brighton College (Singapore), our passionate staff deliver an engaging curriculum that places your child at the heart of our everything we do. Our child-centered, holistic approach ensures that every pupil is valued and encouraged to develop a love for learning. By following each child’s unique interests, we create meaningful experiences that foster curiosity, independence, and collaboration.

Our commitment to academic excellence is evident in our innovative curriculum, which excites and challenges young minds while preparing them for the future. We celebrate individuality and nurture personal growth, allowing children to flourish both intellectually and emotionally.

Our state-of-the-art facilities enhance the learning experience with bright, spacious classrooms and shared balcony spaces that invite exploration. In our Early Years settings, purpose-built kitchens promote hands-on learning, while Sensory and Makerspace areas in Year 1 and 2 support project-based creativity.

To ensure smooth transitions throughout Pre-Prep, Year 1, 2, and 3 classes are housed within the same building as Early Years, fostering continuity and confidence.

Our Teachers

Children learn best when they feel safe and secure, and at Brighton College (Singapore), our team of experienced and dedicated teachers ensures that the individual needs of each pupil are met. All of our teachers are highly qualified and supported by our skilled teaching assistants. We believe in fostering a strong home-school partnership, maintaining an ‘open door’ policy for all parents.

Our small class sizes naturally allow each child to receive personalized attention from both teachers and teaching assistants. Specialist teaching starts with our youngest children in Pre-Nursery Pufflings, and as pupils progress through the school, they benefit from an increasing number of specialist lessons. These include Mandarin, Music, PE, Art, Swimming, Dance, and Drama.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral care underpins all that we do. All staff support the pastoral care at our school and are supported in doing this by the Assistant Head (Pastoral). Positive behaviour is encouraged and is taught through our PSHE and RSE curriculums, through our assembly themes and through the Pelican Pathway. The Pelican Pathway is based on the seven values of Perseverance, Enthusiasm, Leadership, Improvement, Creativity, Achievement and Knowledge.

From Reception to Year 3 Pelican points are awarded to pupils when they show clear examples of our defined qualities in any of the three pillars. Their points are recorded in classrooms on their individual ‘Pelican Pathway’ mats. This reward system inspires and encourages pupils to reach their full potential, wherever their strength lies. It celebrates pupils who uphold the qualities we value most in learning. Pupil well-being is at the heart of all our teaching and our pastoral system ensures every child feels supported, both academically and pastorally.
