At Brighton College (Singapore), we cultivate a culture of kindness and respect, where every child feels valued for who they are as individuals. We nurture qualities such as honesty, good manners, and consideration for others. We encourage wholehearted effort, value each child’s unique qualities, and foster a community grounded in compassion and understanding.
Spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is embedded within our school ethos. Many faiths are represented within the pupil body, with the principles of kindness and understanding underpinning all that we do. Children attend a rich schedule of assemblies inspired by a range of ideas, all of which reinforce our approach to curiosity, confidence and kindness.
Our school has a dedicated pastoral team, ensuring that everyone receives care in academic and personal aspects. This team are also here to support not only our pupils and teachers but also our parents. Regular workshops, called ‘Brighton Talks’, are held for parents on topics such as online safety awareness, sleep hygiene and positive reinforcement. These sessions are led by both school staff and guest speakers.
